The ‘Iced Coffee Day’ at Dunkin’ Donuts will benefit New York City Children’s Hospitals.

With a side of kindness: Dunkin’ Donuts will serve up “Dunkin‘ Iced Coffee Day” on Wednesday, May 25, to “bring joy to youngsters” at children’s hospitals across the country.

According to a corporate statement, Dunkin’ will contribute $1 from every iced coffee served at participating locations throughout the day to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, which strives to deliver “the basic joys of childhood to kids fighting hunger or illness.”

Locally, the event’s proceeds will benefit the following New York hospitals:

Long Island’s Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center. Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital in NYC. Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla.

“Millions of children around the country are battling illnesses that no child should have to face, and we are happy to give back and offer joy to children in hospitals,” said Victor Carvalho, a Dunkin’ franchisee and co-chair of the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s Board of Directors.

“We want our guests to know that buying an iced coffee on May 25 makes a difference and helps provide joy to kids in their communities,” Carvalho stated.

According to the corporation, the foundation granted 171 grants to hospitals and other NGOs in 2021 to help sick children.

Year-round hospital initiatives such as gaming experiences for paediatric patients and prom-like events for students who are unable to attend their own high school proms benefit from the funding.

Since 2006, the foundation has given more than $37 million to hospitals, food banks, and other nonprofits.
