Design and Display
The centerpiece of these new displays is the brand-new pill-shaped cutout. This was made feasible by 30% smaller cameras, which take up less area than the famed wide notch. Since it leverages the surrounding black pixels to provide some dynamic effects, Apple has given it the name Dynamic Island.
