The 29th draw result of the Rs. 40000 denomination of premium prize bonds was held on Monday, June 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the State Bank of Pakistan, SBP BSC (Bank), Multan. —— presided over the draw event. The draw was conducted under the system of a single common draw applied to all the issued series, encompassing three series of Rs. 40000 denomination Premium Prize Bonds, namely series “A” to “C,” sold up to October 10, 2023.

The prize bond list for 40000 in 2023 is available online and can be accessed from all over Pakistan, including Lahore. The list can also be downloaded in PDF format from the National Savings official website. National Savings Pakistan owns both national and premium prize bonds in Pakistan, although their scheme is carried out by the State Bank of Pakistan, Banking Services Corporation, in all its 16 field offices throughout Pakistan.
To purchase premium prize bonds in Pakistan, you can visit any of the State Bank, Banking Services Corporations, or other authorized scheduled banks. These banks may charge certain fees for processing prize money claims and for the purchase of prize bonds. You must bring your original National Identity Card, a photocopy of your NIC, a photocopy of the NIC of your next of kin, and the contact number and bank account details, including IBAN, of your next of kin.
If you win prize money on any denomination of the National Prize Bond, you can claim your prize by visiting any of the SBP BSC offices with your original NIC, a copy of it, and your bank account details including IBAN. After filling out a form and submitting it to the concerned department, you will receive your prize money in your bank account on the same day. If you win the first or second prize, the money will be sent within 10 to 15 working days.
The government of Pakistan deducts a fixed tax on the prize money at the source and transfers it to the FBR. The tax rate for filers is 15%, while for non-filers it is 30%. For instance, the first prize of Rs. 80,000,000 would amount to Rs. 68,000,000 after tax for filers and Rs. 56,000,000 for non-filers. Similarly, the second prize of Rs. 30,000,000 would be Rs. 25,500,000 after tax for filers and Rs. 21,000,000 for non-filers. The third prize of Rs. 500,000 would be Rs. 425,000 for filers and Rs. 350,000 for non-filers. The face value of the prize bond is not included in the prize money amount.
The next draw for the National Prize Bond of Rs. 750 is scheduled for January 15, 2024, while the next draw for the premium prize bond of Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 25,000 denominations is on March 10, 2024.
