My father, Sheikh Muhammad Saleem, was born to a middle-class business family in Chiniot in 1938. He was his parents’ only child, the first in his family to attend college, and he received his degree from the newly founded IBA in Karachi in 1963. He eventually moved to Lahore after 45 years of residing and working in Karachi. He was given a stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis at the age of 73, and he died a year later in 2012. Abbu, who had a heart of compassion, thought that a person’s heart was the only thing that mattered. Regardless of the person’s place in society or their financial necessity, he would go above and above to help them. He genuinely and secretly assisted many individuals, yet nobody acknowledged him. returned without receiving anything. To provide the local population with access to fundamental education and healthcare, he constructed a free school and hospital in Bhai Pheru. He made a positive impact on the lives of those closest to him, including his friends, children, and grandchildren. I learned everything I know about charity and compassion from him.
